MSVG Scholarship Fund
In December of 2015 we were able to establish the Mid Shore Veterans Group Scholarship Fund. It began as an annual $2500.00 fund awarding one $500.00 scholarship in each of the five counties we serve. It is administered by the MSCF, although we establish the guidelines. Students must be sons or daughters or grandsons or granddaughters of active, separated or retired Veterans, members of the National Guard or Reserves. These scholarships are awarded at a special event, hosted by MSCF.
In our inaugural offering, we were able to award all five scholarships. Our awards continue to increase each year. In 2020 we awarded 10, $500.00 scholarships and one special $1000.00 scholarship.

Veterans Workforce Scholarship Program
In 2018 we were able to establish the MSVG Veterans Workforce Scholarship Fund. MSVG has long recognized the need for funding for this type of job skill training. This scholarship was created in conjunction with the new leadership at Chesapeake College and has the full support of their new President.
Distributions will be made as determined by the administrators, MSVG/MSCF. We have funded $10,000.00 start up for this scholarship. It is available to Veterans, as well as their families as described below. MSVG also funds a “fast track” program outside of the college environment.
The scholarship is administered by the MSCF, although MSVG establishes the guidelines. Veterans are eligible as well as students. Students must be sons or daughters or grandsons or granddaughters of active, separated or retired Veterans, members of the National Guard or Reserves. These scholarships will be awarded as scheduled by MSVG and MSCF.
