Help Host a Fund Raising Event

From the beginning, Veterans Organizations such as the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Vietnam Veterans of America and other groups such as the Rotary International, the Chesapeake Classic Car Club, the Dock Street Foundation -SOAR for Veterans and The Star Democrat have been very generous in their support.

On June 13, 2015, Classic Porsche Restoration, a local Easton business, raised over $1500 for MSVG.

Kohl's Department store has raised over $15,000 for MSVG.

Where does your money go?

The MSVG is quick to point out that 100% of donations are directed to Veterans assistance. Printing costs of cards, letterhead, brochures and such are borne by the group members.  We pay a 5% fee to the Mid Shore Community Foundation to cover our administrative needs, and this actually saves us costs that would normally detract from available funding, because we don’t have to outsource these services.  No salaries are paid to any group member, except a small stipend paid to the founders.  We do not claim meal or gas costs. Our personal time, effort and resources are donated on behalf of our Veterans.

And what about the donations we receive?  Thank you letters are sent but that’s where it stops.  No HATS, T-SHIRTS or BLANKETS will ever be sent.   Sorry, We don’t even have pens with our names on them!
